You Are Welcome Here

There is something tender about being welcomed before you have figured out where you fit.
Someone makes room beside them.
They remember your name.
They help you feel comfortable enough to take a breath and be yourself.

Paul calls believers to offer that kind of welcome to one another.
The church in Rome included people with different backgrounds,
customs, and convictions.

They were learning that to live as one family would require God’s grace.

Paul points them to Jesus in Romans 15:7, “Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.” (NIV)

The welcome we have received becomes the welcome we can give.

Who could you make room for today?
You came to Jesus with questions, struggles, and places that still needed healing.
He received you, and He continues His work in your life.

Welcome others on their faith journey as He has welcomed you.

Father, thank You for welcoming me with grace. Open my eyes to the people around me who need to feel included. Help me make room in my conversations, my plans, and my heart.  In Jesus Powerful Name, Amen.
