Something to Give

Have you ever looked at what someone else does so well and wondered what you have to offer?

It is easy to overlook the gifts God has placed in us,
especially when they feel ordinary.

Encouraging someone comes naturally to you.
You notice when a person needs help.
You enjoy making room at your table.

Because these things feel familiar,
you may not realize how much they matter.

Paul describes the church as a body with many parts.

He writes in Romans 12:3-6 , “For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us” (NIV)

Each one in the body of Christ belongs.
Each one has something to contribute.

God has given us different gifts by His grace,
and we need one another.

Your gift may look different from someone else’s.
You may encourage, teach, lead, serve, give, or show mercy.
You do not have to do everything to make a difference.
You can begin with what God has placed in your hands.

Who could use what you have to give today?
A kind word.
A good meal.
A gentle prayer.
A few minutes of your attention.

We are not created to be everything for everyone.
We are created to step out in faith and use what God has given us to give to others.

What feels ordinary to you may be a gift someone else needs.

Father, thank You for giving me a place in Your family and gifts to share. Help me recognize what You have placed in me and offer it with love. Open my eyes to someone I can encourage or serve today. Give me the courage to take that small step and trust You with what grows from it. In the Powerful Name of Jesus, Amen.
