Every Opportunity

Most opportunities to show someone Jesus won’t come with an announcement.

They will look surprisingly ordinary.

A conversation with a coworker.
A server who seems overwhelmed.
A neighbor who needs help.
Someone sitting alone.
A friend whose “I’m fine” doesn’t sound very fine.

Paul says in Colossians 4:5, “make the most of every opportunity.” (NIV)

You don’t have to preach a sermon to them.
Sometimes sharing Jesus looks like listening.
Noticing.
Encouraging.
Serving.
Being patient.
Loving someone when they least expect it.

There are people in your path today who need what you carry.
Pay attention.

You don’t have to go looking for ministry.
Simply notice the people God puts in your path today.

Lord Jesus, help me slow down enough to notice the people around me. Give me wisdom to recognize the opportunities You give me to show someone Your love today. In Your Powerful Name, Amen.
