We live in a world constantly telling us something is missing.
That we need more success.
More approval.
More money.
More recognition.
More followers.
More of whatever will finally make you feel like you are enough.
And then Paul gives us this beautiful truth in Colossians 2: 9-10, “For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head of every power and authority.” (NIV)
In Jesus, you are not incomplete.
Your identity isn’t waiting for someone to validate it.
Your worth isn’t waiting for an accomplishment to establish it.
Jesus has already given you what the world can never give you.
When you know you are complete in Christ,
you can stop looking to the world to validate you.
Maybe today, instead of asking, “What am I missing?”,
ask “What do I already have in Christ?”
You are loved.
You are chosen.
You are forgiven.
You belong.
Heaven is your home now and for eternity,
And God Himself is as close as your breath.
You are not lacking.
In Christ you have everything you need and more.
Jesus, help me stop looking to other people and things to give me what I already have in You. Teach me to live today from the fullness of being Yours. In Your Powerful Name, Amen.
