Forgive Me

Because of Jesus, forgiveness isn’t uncertain.
It is promised.

He bought the right to offer it on the cross.
He offers forgiveness to whoever will receive Him.

And it’s not a one time offer,
it’s a lifetime offer.

1 John 1:9 says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” (NIV)

Confession isn’t about convincing God to forgive you.
It’s about agreeing with Him.
It’s coming clean and asking for His help.
It’s freedom to move on.
It’s making room for His Spirit to move and heal.

When we confess our sins, we’re not informing God of something He didn’t know.
Often, we are discovering something in us we didn’t know was there.

Something that doesn’t belong in our heart.

God doesn’t forgive reluctantly.
He forgives abundantly, faithfully and completely.

There is freedom waiting on the other side of honest confession.
Don’t carry today what Jesus already paid for so you could be free of it.

What do you need to confess today?

Father, thank You for Your grace. I confess my sin to you and right now I receive the forgiveness You have promised through Jesus Christ. Set me free, lead me in Your love and may Your grace cover me as I grow. In Jesus Powerful Name, Amen.
