“No one ever before gazed upon the full splendor of God except his uniquely beloved Son, who is cherished by the Father and held close to his heart.
Now that he has come to us, he has unfolded the full explanation of who God truly is!
John 1:18 TPT
When we see Jesus, we see God.
We see His heart, His compassion, His strength, His joy, His love for us.
We see God in the incredible vulnerability of the baby, the sweet innocence of the child, the boldness of the man.
We see God’s love poured out on the streets as He walked through the crowds, the teaching of God’s kingdom come, the unjust trial and judgement, His refusal to defend Himself and His surrender to the death.
We see God’s glory in life conquering death, sin’s power broken forever, and the great expanse between God and mankind abolished.
When you see Jesus, you see the full splendor of God’s love for you.
No matter where or how you celebrate Christmas this year, my prayer for you is that there will be a moment of awareness of how priceless you are to God and how much He has for you to experience with Him.
