Sufficient For Today

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV

The last two weeks have been exhausting and amazing.

Exhausting because a Category 4 hurricane hit where I live. Everything stopped and then in about 24 hours the race began. The race to check on people, help people, to get water and food for people and more. It was amazing because people came together from all walks of life to help each other.

In the midst of it all, I am so glad I didn’t have to pretend to be strong.

I am glad that the more I embraced my weakness, I was able to lean into God’s strength, power, and grace.

Oh, the richness of God’s amazing grace.

Grace to get up each day knowing that He would give me what I needed for the day.

Grace that took the little I could do and use it to help someone else.

Grace to lay down everyday and rest because I knew God’s grace would be there tomorrow.

I didn’t have to will myself to be strong but by laying down the illusion I have to be.

Admitting my weakness opens me up to receiving God’s grace laden strength and moment by moment I have what I need to make it through.

Are you done trying to be strong?

Good.

Now you are ready to fully receive the abundance of God’s amazing, all encompassing grace delivered to you wrapped in the love of Jesus each and every moment you need it.

I love to hear from you and appreciate every comment!
