Where Do You Look?

This morning, I did something I rarely do: I opened the News App on my phone.

I regretted it immediately.

I just wanted to see what was happening in the world out there, wanted to know what was going on.

I think I was looking for a little hope.

What I found was the same stories with different names, same themes with different titles: fear, stress, tragedy and loss.

I took a deep breath and did what I should have done in the beginning – I opened my YouVersion App.

This is where hope lives.

Not because it is a fantasy but because it addresses reality.

“Jesus shouted out passionately, ‘To believe in me is to also believe in God who sent me. For when you look at me you are seeing the One who sent me. I have come as a light to shine in this dark world so that all who trust in me will no longer wander in darkness.’”

John‬ ‭12:44-46‬ ‭TPT‬‬W

As I turn my gaze from the trouble in the world to the light that shines in it, I find hope.

I find love and I find courage to believe in the impossible.

Where do you look to find hope?

I love to hear from you and appreciate every comment!
