You Have It

In Christ, God has already given you what you need to fulfill His call for your life and it starts in your own front yard.

Are you looking everywhere but “right here” for what you should do today?

A better question is “how should you live today”?

The answers you are seeking are not found by looking at others’ lives or comparing yourself to them. They are not discovered by wishing away your life or wanting someone else’s.

This is your life.  If you want to change it, change it.

If you want to change the dynamic in your home, change it.

If you want to learn something new, study it.

God will not call you to live someone else’s life,  He will call you to fully live yours.

You don’t need more stuff, you need a clear vision.

Ask Jesus to open your eyes to your own “front yard” and wisdom He has placed there to live the life He has created you to live.

What is holding you back from fully living your life?

What has Jesus put right in front of you?

What do you need from Him to do it today?

Quiet Strength​


A great life requires quiet strength.

A strength that gets up when it is tired.

Does the right thing when it doesn’t feel like it.

Holds on when it wants to let go.

Pushes through when it would be easier to quit.

It isn’t pretty.

It is strong.

It has scars.

Quiet strength doesn’t stop.

“So, chosen by God for this new life of love, dress in the wardrobe God picked out for you: compassion, kindness, humility, quiet strength, discipline.”

Colossians 3:12- MSG

It is the kind of strength that Jesus demonstrated every day as He walked with mankind and made his way to the cross.

The life that God has called you to live requires a quiet strength and a steely determination.

You can’t do it without Jesus and He doesn’t ask you to.

“I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being,”  Ephesians 3:16 NIV

The quiet strength of God defies logic and grows in what seems to be an impossible place.

Don’t give up.

Stay faithful.

Draw strength from Jesus today and keep doing what God is calling you to do.

Even There


“even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭139:10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

What is your even there?

That place that you don’t think God can reach.
That place you think God can’t change.

That place that you don’t believe God can help.

No matter how difficult or dark your situation, Jesus can guide you out and give you strength to do it. 

Jesus will guide you out- follow him one step at a time, one day at a time.

Jesus will strengthen you, one step at a time, one day at a time. 

There is no place that God can’t reach, heal and restore, even there.

Walking Through God’s Thoughts

‬‬God’s thoughts about you are more than you can imagine and more varied than you think.

They are more than you can count and originate from core truth of who He is- LOVE.

“We know how much God loves us, and we have put our trust in his love. God is love, and all who live in love live in God, and God lives in them.”

After an cool afternoon at the waters edge at the beach this summer, I turned toward the parking lot and prepared to trudge through the expanse of sand between the two. It seemed like a million miles to me because walking through sand is not easy (or enjoyable when your loaded down with all your stuff).

As I walked through the countless grains of sand and felt them give under my feet, I thought of Psalm 139: 17-18:

“How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!”

More than you can imagine, 
deeper than you can understand, 
higher than you can reach, 
farther ahead than you can plan, 
filled with more love than you think is possible, God is thinking about you. 

He knows you.

He knows all your weaknesses, brokenness and faults- and loves you completely. 

Put your trust in Jesus and be brave today.

God knows what is going on and how to love you through it.
