Take Hold

All relationships have to be a give and take in order to be healthy. It has to go two ways or else you are not in a relationship, you are in a fandom.

This includes your relationship with God.

Your “give” to God: to journey forward with Him and hold nothing back. Give Him all.

So what is your “take”? Your “take” is to partake of promises, consume them, receive them and walk forward in them.

This taking is not a selfish act, it is a trusting one.

It is also not a passive act but it is an active and proactive one.

It is possessing the land, pursuing the promise and wholeheartedly going after your purpose.

Where is your promised land?
Where you now reside.

The secret of walking in faith is recognizing that your promised land is not somewhere else but right here. It is where you are right now but transformed by God’s intervention.

It is your life transformed by God’s intervention.

It is your marriage transformed by God’s intervention.

It is your workplace transformed by God’s intervention.

It is your parenting transformed by God’s intervention.

It is you- transformed by God’s intervention.

Walking in faith, not in the flesh, in grace, not legalism, in love not hate.

Close your eyes. Open the eyes of your heart and ask God to give you His vision for your life. With eyes of faith see the promised land laid out before you. Taste the bounty you will cultivate, the joy of habitation. Fall in love with the hope-filled future God has planned for you.

Then with courage and tenacity walk hand in hand with God. Grow forward in faith and take hold of your purpose, one step at a time. Hold nothing back from His loving gaze or hand of grace.

There are unimaginable blessings awaiting those who will walk in the purposes of God, hand-in-hand with Him. You have barely scratched the surface. Now, as it was then, your faith will become sight and you will see with your own eyes the promises of God come to pass.

“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen”.

Where Is Your Head? 


There is a war for your thoughts, for your imagination.

A battle for your ability to imagine your day, your tomorrow, your future. A war for the direction of your thoughts and your ability to imagine  your relationships, your job, your home life. 

The ability to imagine is a gift or a curse depending on the foundation of that imagination.

Many people believe that you can’t control your thoughts or the direction of them but that is not true:

“For those who live according to the flesh have their outlook shaped by the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit have their outlook shaped by the things of the Spirit. 

For the outlook of the flesh is death, but the outlook of the Spirit is life and peace,”

The imagination nourished by the Spirit of God is life and peace. 

The imagination anchored to the flesh is fear and death.

The thing is, you get to choose. You have free will and God will never take it from you.

What you think, how you think is up to you.

You can go the way of your nature, of your personality, of your circumstances, of your experiences in this world, and follow them all the way down to hopelessness,

Or

You can go the way of Jesus and surrender to the Spirit of God, His nature, His power, His perspective on your circumstances and follow Him all the way to peace that passes all understanding. 

This is not about creating your future with positive thoughts.  This is about consciously choosing to fix your mind on Jesus Christ and allowing Him to change your outlook. 

“Do not be conformed to this present world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may test and approve what is the will of God – what is good and well-pleasing and perfect.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:2‬ ‭NET‬‬

Where is your head today? 

Surrender your thoughts, your imagination to Jesus and allow Him to fill it with His thoughts towards you. 

What are His thoughts toward you? 

Be anchored to Jesus and use your imagination to create a future of life, peace and power.
