“Give us today our daily bread.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:11‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Lord, give me what I need for today.

Not what I needed yesterday.

Not what I will need for tomorrow.

What I need today.

Today’s strength.

Today’s sustenance.

Today’s vision.

Today’s peace that passes understanding.

It might look different than I expect it to but it will do the job nonetheless.

You are amazing like that.

Thank you, Lord, for today’s provision, for today’s daily bread.

In Jesus Name, Amen.

Grace For Today

You don’t have to wait for the right conditions in your life or until you have more time or money.

You don’t have to wait until you are stronger or smarter or better behaved.

The grace God has given you has nothing to do with how strong or smart or well behaved you are but you have it nonetheless – it is yours.

Grace that allows you to change, grace that inspires you to become who God created you to be.

Grace gives you strength and wisdom.

“God’s readiness to give and forgive is now public. Salvation’s available for everyone! We’re being shown how to turn our backs on a godless, indulgent life, and how to take on a God-filled, God-honoring life. This new life is starting right now, and is whetting our appetites for the glorious day when our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, appears.

He offered himself as a sacrifice to free us from a dark, rebellious life into this good, pure life, making us a people he can be proud of, energetic in goodness.”

‭‭Titus‬ ‭2:11-14‬ ‭MSG‬‬

The same grace that saves you for all eternity transforms your life today.

Today, you can begin to live differently, think differently, love differently.

Not tomorrow, or later-when-everything-is-easier but today.

Don’t wait for one more second to live in the grace God sacrificed to give you.

Start Today.

Your Need

“And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:19‬ ‭NIV
The glorious riches of God have not been used up.
His resources have not been depleted.
His kingdom does not work the way the earth’s kingdom does.
It does not go bankrupt, it does not come with sanctions.
God’s measure of giving doesn’t mirror man’s way of giving.
He does not give according to your goodness but according to His own.
All of it is accessed through Jesus Christ.
He is the bridge between you and God.
He is the payment for your sin.
He is the Redeemer of what has been stolen.
He is the restorer of what has been lost.
He who has saved you, sacrificed Himself for you, stands as an advocate to the Father on your behalf, is able to meet the need you have today.
What do you need?
Jesus is able.

Small Worries

Have a minute to sit and talk? How about some tea with me on my back porch and talking about small worries that pull at our hearts?

IMG_1058

“Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?”

Luke 12:25, 26 NIV

You are here to LIVE, not to waste time and energy worrying.

Small worries become big distractions.

They distract you from living loved and loving fearlessly.

What are you worried about today, my friend?

Ask God to help you identify the fear that is at the heart of the worry. Then take it to the cross and leave it there.

Then ask Him to fill you with faith to leave it there and know that Jesus is bigger than your fear and able to provide what you need.

Because HE IS.

Let Go, Hold On

“Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Philippians‬ ‭3‬:‭12‬ NIV

Let go of trying to earn God’s love.

Hold on tightly to God’s grace.

Let go of your fear of failure.

Hold onto your faith in Jesus.

Let go of perfectionism.

Hold onto the vision Jesus has for your life.

Let go of habits that sabotage your growth.

Hold onto the hope of transformation.

Let go of trying to control everything.

Hold onto trusting Jesus with it all.

Jesus doesn’t give up or let up and loves you so much that he will continually press you to press on.

“I’m not saying that I have this all together, that I have it made. But I am well on my way, reaching out for Christ, who has so wondrously reached out for me.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭3:12 ‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Yesterday is gone, press on today to take hold of that which Christ Jesus has taken hold of you.
