“He got us out of the mess we’re in and restored us to where he always wanted us to be. And he did it by means of Jesus Christ.”Romans 3:21-24 MSG
“Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.”
Psalm 51:12 NIV
Today I am praying for the wind of restoration to sweep away the cobwebs of the fear and regret that are clinging to your soul.
I am praying for the worries and wonderings of “what if’s” be swept away because what is done is done and today is a new day.
Today is a new day to invite God in.
Today is a new day to embrace the hope you have in Jesus.
Today is your new day to walk in the power and purpose of God.
Ask Jesus to restore to you the joy of your salvation and fill you with vision & hope.
There is a sweet joy that captures the soul the moment you receive the washing away of yesterday and release the white knuckling fear you have for tomorrow.
Put all your yesterdays and tomorrows into God’s hands – He is big enough to handle them.
May you live fully filled up and have a willing spirit to fully engage in what God has given you to do today.
“For you’ve been a safe place for me, a good place to hide. Strong God, I’m watching you do it, I can always count on you— God, my dependable love.(Ps 59:17 msg) ”
When do you need a safe place?
When you are tired.
When you are afraid.
When you are overwhelmed.
When you need a place to rest, to recoup, to recover, to refresh.
I need a safe place to hide when the world crowds in and I am too tired to fight.
So I don’t.
I run to my refuge and lay down my weapons. I don’t think about what worries me or what problems lay beyond the wall. I focus on God and let worship rise from within my spirit. I sing sweet words of praise and let it cleanse my soul.
When you need a safe place, retreat into the arms of God and rest.
Let go of your worry and pick up your praise.
Shut the world out and surround yourself with worship.
Worship is the key that opens the door to your safest place.
“But I will sing of your strength, in the morning I will sing of your love; for you are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble. You are my strength, I sing praise to you; you, God, are my fortress, my God on whom I can rely. (Psalm 59:16, 17 NIV)”
