Minute By Minute

1 a : having lost hope b : giving no ground for hope

You are desperate when you run out of options. When you have done all you can with what you have and come up wanting.

You are desperate when you realize you have no control. No control of how others react. No control what others think. No control of what others choose.

You are desperate when you find out you are sick, really sick and man doesn’t have the perfect answer or a promised treatment to ensure recovery.

Desperation feels horrid. It feels scary. You only get there when you have burned through hope and have nothing left.

And yet desperation drives us to our knees.

To an honest place where we admit we have no power, no actual control.

It is the realization that we are impotent to procure any real change, unable to bring about that which we desire.

When we have nothing left, we have everything to gain.

Why? Because we throw ourselves on the mercy of God and admit the truth. We are human and not small gods. We are mortal and God is the immortal, all powerful, omniscient God.

It is actually the safest place to be when we feel the most vulnerable.

When we are just surviving hour by hour- we find God is walking with us minute by minute.

“Desperate, I throw myself on you: you are my God! Hour by hour I place my days in your hand, safe from the hands out to get me.”
Psalm 31:14, 15 MSG

“…for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down(relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!] “
Hebrews 13:5 AMP

If you are in a desperate place right now, let go and throw yourself on God, because you are in good hands when you are in God’s hands.

Are you in a desperate place?

What can I pray for you?

What does walking with God minute by minute look like to you right now?

Unsure but Secure

I am unsure what the future may bring but secure that God knows the plans He has for me.

I am unsure what my finances may be but secure that God is my provider.

I am unsure of what life will bring my way but secure that my flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

I am unsure of how long this life may be, but secure in the eternal life I have in Christ after this one is over.

I am unsure in my own faithfulness but I am secure in God’s.

He is my Rock.
He is my Strength.
He is my Guide.
He is my Savior.

I do not walk alone, I am not abandoned.

I am loved and cherished by the King of kings and Lord of lords.

I am only human therefore will always be unsure but because Jesus Christ is my Savior, I am forever secure in Him.

“It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭18:32‬ ‭NIV‬‬

From my heart to yours…
