Take Hold Of It

God has a hold of you for a reason you haven’t even begun to know yet.

He believes in you even more than you believe in yourself.

Don’t stop going after all God has for you just because you are not where you want to be.

Sometimes the journey seems long when you see how far you still have to go, sometimes the journey seems short when you look at all Jesus has already done in you.

Even Paul the apostle felt this way, so don’t be so hard on yourself when you do.

“but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭3:12-14‬ ‭NIV

What God has for you has nothing to do with who you think you are or who you think you are not but it has everything to do with who HE is.

He is working in you so that you can embrace the future He has for you.

Keep going.

Keep pursuing.

Take hold of it.

What Defines You

“He didn’t tiptoe around God’s promise asking cautiously skeptical questions. He plunged into the promise and came up strong, ready for God, sure that God would make good on what he had said.”

Romans‬ ‭4:19‬ ‭MSG

There comes a point in life that your faith becomes stronger by facing the facts, not weaker.

The facts may not be friendly or encouraging or what you want to face but as a child of God, you can face them. You can deal with reality instead of running from it.

How?

By knowing that your circumstances do not define you, God does.

By knowing that the God that died for you, stands beside you.

By knowing that Jesus will never leave or forsake you regardless of the circumstances around you.

In Jesus, you have full rights as a child of God to live fully persuaded that God is able to do above and beyond all you can ask or imagine.

He is able.

What are you asking for?

What are you imagining?

What are you trusting God in today?

Hope Endures

“Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.  His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.”        2 Peter 1:2-3 NIV

God’s divine power through Jesus has given you everything you need to live the life God made you for.

That doesn’t mean it will be easy.

If it was easy, you wouldn’t need God’s power to do it.

You will need Him.

You will need His power to keep going in spite of the obstacles, the setbacks, the failures, and the frustrations that you will face this year.

Good thing you have Him.

The promise is made.

Hold on to Jesus.

Hope endures.

Happy New Year.
