Dealing with Pressure

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”‭‭ Romans‬ ‭12:12‬ ‭NIV‬‬

The word “affliction” in this scripture essentially means “pressure”.

The pressure in your life is no joke.

It is intense right now.

How do can you deal with it?

  1. Spend your energy pursuing hope.

2. Don’t quit when things get hard.

3. Spend more time in the presence of God than the presence of fear.

If you must work on something my friend, work on keeping your heart filled with the wonder and expanse of God’s love while letting Jesus bear the pressure of the day. He is stronger than you are and made for it.

Today’s Challenges

God will use today’s challenges to give you the skills you need for tomorrow’s assignment.

Look to Jesus to guide you through it and help you navigate all the way to the other side of it. Don’t give up halfway through. Storms do not last forever but the lessons you could learn from them will.

Consider it a sheer gift, friends, when tests and challenges come at you from all sides. You know that under pressure, your faith-life is forced into the open and shows its true colors. So don’t try to get out of anything prematurely. Let it do its work so you become mature and well-developed, not deficient in any way.”
‭‭James‬ ‭1:2-4‬ ‭MSG‬‬

It doesn’t matter where it’s coming from, God will use It to get you going in the right direction.

God will use whatever opposition is coming at you as an opportunity to grow your faith and character.

Let Him.
