Stay

If where you are is boring, stay there.

If where you are is overwhelming, stay there.

If where you are is fun, stay there.

If where you are is challenging, stay there.

Stay where God has called you to be.

He will give you strength to stand the monotony, wisdom to navigate the stress, clarity to get the most out of the fun and vision to conquer the challenge.

“Friends, stay where you were called to be. God is there. Hold the high ground with him at your side.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭7‬:‭24‬ MSG

Look to God for your identity, your purpose and the strength to live it out.

Hold the high ground.
Stay where you are.

Grab Hold

The day will come when the work God does in you will be complete.

A day when all your broken parts are mended and all the gaping holes are filled.

A day when God’s work of re-creation is done and you are a new creation, through and through.

But until then, you are in the process of being created new.

Until then, every fiery trial that seems like it will destroy you is purifying you.

God can (and does) use the very things the enemy means for harm, for your good.

“Pure gold put in the fire comes out of it proved pure; genuine faith put through this suffering comes out proved genuine.

When Jesus wraps this all up, it’s your faith, not your gold, that God will have on display as evidence of his victory.” 1 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭6-7‬ MSG

One day you will stand before God healed and whole.

Until then, grab hold of grace and don’t quit.

What new thing is Jesus creating in you?

What old thing is being burned out by your current trial?

Faith Filled

So that your faith might not rest in the wisdom of men (human philosophy), but in the power of God.

1 Corinthians 2:5 AMP

When your faith rests in the wisdom of man, it falters because at it's best, it is a human attempt to explain the divine.

When your faith rests in feelings, it surges and wanes like the waves of the sea.

When your faith rests on experience, it morphs into whatever you are experiencing now, good or bad.

When your faith rests on God’s power, it is the rock upon which the waves of emotion break, the wisdom that confounds the wise and the truth that gives your experience perspective.

Stop worrying about how you feel, what others say or what happened in the past. Put your faith in God and who he is.

He is bigger than your fears, knows what to do with your worries and is working behind the scenes to bless you.

May today be filled with the promise of his presence and a new level of faith that is not tossed by emotions but anchored in God’s unchanging love.

What do you need to trust Jesus with today?

Small Worries

“Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to your life? Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?” (Luke 12:25, 26 NIV)

You are here to LIVE, not to waste time and energy worrying.

Small worries become big distractions.

They distract you from living loved and loving fearlessly.

What are you worried about today, my friend?

Ask God to help you identify the fear that is at the heart of the worry. Then take it to the cross and leave it there.

Then ask him to fill you with faith to leave it there and know that Jesus is bigger than your fear and able to provide what you need.

Because HE IS.

While You Wait

But GOD’s not finished. He’s waiting around to be gracious to you. He’s gathering strength to show mercy to you. GOD takes the time to do everything right—everything. Those who wait around for him are the lucky ones.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭30:18‬ ‭MSG‬‬

I can’t see what God is doing “behind the scenes” in your life but I know he is working.

I don’t know how he is going to meet your need, but I know that he will.

You don’t have to worry about the why’s or how’s. You can rest in the truth that he knows them.

God is not finished with your life. He has more for you. Jesus took all that separates God from you so that you can recieve all he has for you.

I am praying that today you will experience God’s matchless, unbroken companionship while you wait.

That you will know his victory, favor, love, peace and joy, while you wait.

He is preparing things for you right now and they will be right on time (maybe not your time but in his time).

While you wait, trust.

While you trust, worship.

While you worship, rest.

Have an amazing weekend enjoying what you have while you wait for what God wants to give you.

See Beyond It

For the joy.

For the restoration of mankind to God.

For the intimate relationship with you.

That is why Jesus went to the cross.

“fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12:2‬ ‭NIV‬‬

He sat down at the right hand of the throne of God, as an advocate and as the authority.

He didn’t loose sight of the future, he focused on it.

It is easy to be overwhelmed when you are in pain and let the difficulty before you fill your vision. You begin to anticipate the pain of the situation bleeding into your tomorrows but that is the exact moment that you need to see beyond it and refocus on the future.

Remind yourself of what is important. Face it with integrity, intention and invest your energy in the future past the trial.

Jesus knew that going to the cross would restore mankind to a right relationship with God.

He is your Advocate, He sees your future and has the authority to give you what you need to get to it.

Don’t

Don’t you dare give up.

There are gifts that only come by facing the hard things.

There is growth that only comes form holding on to God through the tough times.

There is maturity that only develops as you persevere when everything around you is uncomfortable, difficult and hard.

“Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” (James 1:4 NIV)

Don’t give up.

Hold on to God like He is your Savior and let perseverance finish it’s work.

If you quit halfway through you will never know what God has for you on the other side of it.

Don’t quit. Buckle down, hold on and ride out the storm.

You are worth it.
