Wise Advice

“The quiet words of the wise are more to be heeded than the shouts of a ruler of fools.”

‭‭Ecclesiastes ‬ ‭9:17 NIV‬

If you are looking for good advice, ask a quiet person you respect.

Ask the one who knows you and knows Jesus.

Ask the one who doesn’t offer their opinion at every opportunity but rather waits for permission to speak into your life.

Ask the questions you need answers to. If they are wise, they are safe. Seek them out.

If they are loud, manipulative, believe they are always right and get mad when you don’t do what they say…avoid them.

Don’t let fear stop you from getting the guidance you need.

You are worth it.

What do you need wisdom for today?

Who has God put in your path to help you?

Freedom

love-quotes_4293-3

“Christ has set us free to live a free life. So take your stand! Never again let anyone put a harness of slavery on you.”

Galatians 5:1 MSG

Don’t let the enemy deceive you into believing are still a slave to your flesh and subject to it’s every whim.

You are not a slave to your flesh, you are a child of God.

You are chosen, loved, provided for and empowered to live your life in Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit.

You belong to Christ and you have permission to live like it.

What is keeping you in bondage?

What does freedom from that look like today?

Nothing is stronger than God’s love for you.

Live loved.

Permission to Rest

Rest doesn’t have a season.

It isn’t optional.

You need it, everyday.

Not just your body but also your soul, spirit and mind.

“Six days you shall labor, but on the seventh day you shall rest; even during the plowing season and harvest you must rest.”
‭‭Exodus‬ ‭34:21‬ ‭NIV‬‬

You need to rest, refresh, recharge in all seasons, especially in the busiest ones.

It isn’t optional. It’s how God made you and it is the way to optimize the gifts He has given you to fulfill the purpose He has placed before you.

What refreshes your spirit?

What rejuvenates your mind?

What feeds your soul?
