Wherever You Are

“Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast.”

Psalm 139:7-10 NIV

Wherever you are, God is with you.

He is there in the light and joyous seasons as well as the heavy and dark ones.

He is there when everything falls apart and there when everything comes together.

He is there when everything suddenly changes and He will bring encouragement, strength, direction, and peace drawn from the unchangeable depths of grace that you will never be able to exhaust.

Wherever you are, God is with you today.

Worth Having

God doesn’t say, “it will be easy” nor does He say ” there will be no battles”.

He says:

“My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

‭‭Exodus‬ ‭33:14‬ ‭NIV‬‬

No matter what is happening around you, you are not alone and you have God’s presence within you.

Rest in His love, power, grace, peace, knowledge, goodness and faithfulness.

Your journey to freedom is not going to be easy but it is going to be worth it.

Into the Storm

When Jesus walked to edge of the water, he was alone.

He had started the day with the news that his cousin had been murdered. Instead of being able to slip away quietly to deal with it, he had been surrounded by people all day. Hurting people, hungry people, lost people, loved people. Over 20,000 people sought him out to hear the heaven’s words, feel God’s power, be healed by his touch. And he spoke, touched, healed, restored. Then, instead of sending them away hungry- he blessed and broke 5 loaves and two fish to feed them all until they were full.

But now he was alone.

He had climbed alone to an isolated place in the mountains so he could lay himself before his Father. Now, in the early hours of the morning, he stood alone on the shore. He looked out at the sea and knew his friends were out there on a boat. The wind had kicked up, the waves were not gentle.

It didn’t matter what the waves looked like. It didn’t matter how late it was. All that mattered was that there was somewhere he needed to get to and it happened to be on the other side of the sea.

So he took a step, then another and just kept walking into the storm on top of the water.*

“If God brings you to it, he will bring you through it”.

Jesus knows how to walk into a storm.

To do the impossible.

He knows where you are at and what you face.

He faced the storm alone but you don’t have to.

He will never leave you or forsake you, especially in the storm.

“We don’t have a priest who is out of touch with our reality. He’s been through weakness and testing, experienced it all-all but the sin.

So let’s walk right up to him and get what he is so ready to give. Take the mercy, accept the help”. (Hebrews 4:15, 16 MSG)

You may be standing on the shore, looking at the rough sea and wondering what to do.

Ask for help and take the next step right into it with Jesus by your side.

*Matt. 14

Live Closely

But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ. (‭Ephesians‬ ‭2‬:‭13‬ NIV)

When you are tired, draw close.
When you are doubtful, draw close.
When you are worried, draw close.
When you are rested, draw close.
When you are fulfilled, draw close.
When you are hopeful, draw close. When you are assured, draw close.

However you are feeling in this moment, draw close to God.

He is right here within reach by the shed blood of Christ.

He did not pay such a high price so that you could walk through this alone.
