The Israelites had been traveling for 40 years and eleven months on a journey that should have taken 11 days.

They were stuck. God led them into the wilderness but He never intended them to live in the wilderness.

Yes, Jesus has done so much for you and you have come a long way, baby, but don’t get stuck here.

You are not where you were but God is not done with you yet.

He has more for you.

Learning to live a new way is hard but don’t settle for wilderness living when you are called to the promised land in Christ.

Jesus says in John 10:10 “I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”

It doesn’t matter how long you have settled or how long you have been stuck, what matters is that you hear the word of the Lord calling you forward and reminding you that He has more for you.

Your journey does not end here.

Get up and get ready to fight for all God has for you.

Difficult Roads


I grew up about an hour from the beach in Southern California. Unless you know that you are going to the beach, it just feels more like you are stuck in the worst freeway traffic of your life. Standstill traffic with smog.

But then you turn a corner and there it is- the sand, the waves, the Southern California beach.

You don’t know what God has for you around the corner, my friend.

Sometimes, you can’t even guess.

The way there may not be pretty or easy but Jesus is faithful to complete what he has started.

Keep going.

“Show me the right path, O LORD; point out the road for me to follow.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭25:4‬ ‭NLT‬

There is more to see, more to do and it is going to be breathtaking.

Far More

There is far more to your life than the food you put in your stomach, more to your outer appearance than the clothes you hang on your body.

Look at the birds, free and unfettered, not tied down to a job description, careless in the care of God. And you count far more to him than birds.

Matthew 6:25, 26 MSG

Life with God is about love, risk, adventure, faith, serving, giving, and enjoying.

Life with God is about being filled with His love and mercy every day and then pouring out on all those around you.

Life with God is about worshipping Him when we wake, when we walk, when we clean, when we work, when we eat, when we get dressed.

Life with God is about knowing that you are saved by grace and reconciled to Him because of the sacrifice of Jesus.

Life with God is about knowing that He loves you because you are His kid and enjoys spending time with you.

You are a child of God who is cherished, chosen and provided for.

Live in the freedom of His love.

Live care-less in the care of God.

Live more in this truth and less in lie that you are valued because of what you look like, eat, wear or do.

Jesus has made a way so you can expereince far more than that.

This life, this love, this secuorty comes from Him and is unshakable. The rest is frosting.

More

The limitless ability of God is beyond what I can understand.

However, just because I can’t understand something doesn’t mean it isn’t true. Light travels at 299,792,458 metres per second whether or not I understand it.

“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,” Ephesians‬ ‭3:20‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“God is not merely able but abundantly and generously able, with an infinite surplus of resources and eternally able to do what he had promised. He is the God of limitless resources- the only limit comes from us. Our requests, our thoughts and our prayers are too small,and our expectation are too low.” – AB Simpson

You don’t have to understand how God will provide, you have to trust Him to do it.

You don’t have to figure out how God is going to fulfill His part, you simply have to do your part, obey.

Trust and obey.

Let the worry go to the wind and the anxiety drift to the bottom of the sea.

Stop trying to figure out how it is going to happen and just do what you know God has asked you to do today.

“When God guides, He provides”.

God IS able.

Better

Marketers would like you to believe that having more things or giving more things to give will make you happier.

They want you to believe that more gifts under the tree will give you more peace.

But it won’t.

It won’t give you more peace and the happiness will only be temporary.

Often more stuff just causes more: more stress, more complications, more quarrels, more regret, more fear, more want…more.

A meal of bread and water in contented peace is better than a banquet spiced with quarrels. (‭Proverbs‬ ‭17‬:‭1‬ MSG)

What is better than having more? Having peace and being content with what you already have.

Then all the rest just adds to it.
