Can’t Take It With You

“But godliness with contentment is great gain.

For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.”

1 Timothy‬ ‭6‬:‭6-7‬ NIV

Things don’t go with you into eternity.

They will stay here to rust and rot.

Don’t waste the precious time you have here worried about things.

Make moments that count.

Create memories that last beyond your lifetime.

Invest in your relationships.

Allow God to move freely in you and through you.

Make your life a story of faith-filled adventure, not one of collecting a lot of stuff that will mean nothing in the light of eternity.

You have today.

Spend each moment savoring the sacred and embracing the enduring truth of God’s unconquerable love in Christ.

Love wins.

Mundane Moments

Some of the best moments of worshipping God is the smallest of them – the mundane moments in your day.

When given to Jesus, they are offerings of thanksgiving in the unseen simplicity of your daily life.

Little altars of normal and boring and non-important that are precious gifts to the in-the-moment relationship building God.

“So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering.

Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:1-2‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Don’t get caught up in the world’s view of important and busy.

God’s definition of important is a daily relationship with you.

You.

When you make the small moments of your everyday endeavors an offering to God, you will discover that having abundant life in Christ isn’t about doing big things for Him but worshipping Him in the small things you do every day.

May today’s mundane moments and unseen duties be filled with sweet worship and small offerings of fellowship with your very present God.

The Moment

Thank you! Everything in me says “Thank you!” …Thank you for your love, thank you for your faithfulness; Most holy is your name, most holy is your Word.

The moment I called out, you stepped in; you made my life large with strength.” Psalm 138:1-3 MSG

‬‬The true secret of “living large” isn’t about outside income, it is about inside strength.

The strength that is accessed through spontaneous worship- the ability to see and recognize what God has given you and what He is doing.

The strength that comes from the truth of God’s Word impacting and changing your life.

The strength that comes from gratitude.

Gratitude that changes your perspective to see the abundance you have instead of focusing on what you lack. It opens your eyes to see the possibilities instead of the problems.

Where worry constricts your heart, thanks-giving worship expands it.

The moment you cry out to God in weakness, He meets you with His strength.

May you call out to Jesus and be filled with gratitude, worship and divine strength to be who He has created you to be today.

Take A Moment

Even if it is only five minutes, take a moment today to plan. To ask God for direction and wisdom. For vision and hope.

When you “plan” with God (hold the plan gently), you set the rhythm of the next season with Him.

Not with the old habits, not by the new urgencies, or by the always present necessities, but with God.

With His wisdom, His vision and His faith.

Take some time today to plan the things you want to do in the next six weeks. His priorities.

“Careful planning puts you ahead in the long run; hurry and scurry puts you further behind”. (‭Proverbs‬ ‭21‬:‭5‬ MSG)

What do you want to do on purpose?

What things are non-negotiable?

What is possible with God?
