Anxious?

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5:7‬

NIV

Do you know what to do with worry?

Here, God says to cast it all on Him.

What does that mean?

Cast means to toss. You can’t throw something without letting it go.

All means to give Jesus every irrational fear, every overwhelming worry, as they come to you.

Your anxiety means not to deny it but to name it. Acknowledge it. Name the fear underneath the worry – then cast it onto God.

Anxiety – the greek word used here literally means to be drawn in two different directions and be torn apart by it. What a great picture of what anxiety feels like.

On Him – where do you put that which is tearing you apart? Put it into the hands of Jesus. He is strong enough to hold it, carry it and handle it.

Why?

Because He Cares – and it means that God is “caring for you right now in this present moment” – what are you anxious about right this minute? God cares about it too.

Right this minute God is caring about you.

For You.

What are you supposed to do with worry?

Look at it, name it then throw it totally on God and ask Him to take care of you as you deal with it.

God’s Will

Stop agonizing over messing up God’s will for your life and focus on not missing God in your life

Jesus died on the cross to reconcile a divine relationship that was impossible before it. Now that the relationship has been restored by Him so many people live their lives ignoring Him. Don’t be that person who relegates this divine relationship to scheduled times of church and worship.

There is so much more for you. Jesus wants to live life with you.

Just the simple awareness of God interacting in your day changes everything.

You do not journey alone,
He walks with you.
You don’t do your job alone,
He is there with you.
You don’t go to school alone,
He is in each class with you.
You do not clean your house alone,
Jesus is with you.

You walk on earth but Jesus wants to break through in your everyday moments and everyday responsibilities.

“So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering.

Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him.

Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out.

Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it.

Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:1-2‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Stop worrying about missing God’s will for your life and focus on not missing God in your life.

Walk in the awareness of God in your everyday moments and you will discover you ARE walking in His will.
