Stop Waiting

If you are waiting until your life is perfect to be thankful, you are missing your life.

When is it the right time to be thankful?

Right now.

This minute.

Don’t wait one more second.

“Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will].” ‭‭

1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:18‬ ‭AMPC

Be thankful for the imperfect now.

Be thankful for the imperfect you.

Jesus is.

He loves you as you are today and He will work with you to grow you into who He created you to be.

Jesus is using your imperfect life and imperfect self to do a beautiful perfect redeeming work in you.

Let Him.

May you let go of all you can’t control today and give yourself permission to enjoy the imperfect now, embrace your imperfect story and lift your soul up to your perfect, loving, amazing, forgiving, life-giving God

The Awareness of God

But make sure that you don’t get so absorbed and exhausted in taking care of all your day-by-day obligations that you lose track of the time and doze off, oblivious to God. The night is about over, dawn is about to break. Be up and awake to what God is doing! God is putting the finishing touches on the salvation work he began when we first believed.”

ROMANS 13:11 MSG

If you are aware of anything today – be aware of God’s love for you.

If you are afraid of anything – be afraid of getting so busy making a living that you miss making a life.

If you have to make a to do list – put “recognizing God‘s presence” in the top spot.

Take care of whatever you need to take care of today but make sure to make room for God to interrupt, intervene, and weave Himself into each thing you do with His love, His mercy, His perspective, His grace, His strength and His joy.

If you are wondering whether God is present in your life, He is.

He longs to connect with you.

You are one of His favorites.

What does being aware of God mean to you?

Have you been so busy that you are missing God presence?

May the awareness of God supersede all else as you are embraced by the Savior who loves you unconditionally and completely.

Imperfect

“Thank [God] in everything [no matter what the circumstances may be, be thankful and give thanks], for this is the will of God for you [who are] in Christ Jesus [the Revealer and Mediator of that will].” ‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:18‬ ‭AMPC

Living Strong

“Thank you! Everything in me says ‘Thank you!’ …Thank you for your love, thank you for your faithfulness; Most holy is your name, most holy is your Word. The moment I called out, you stepped in; you made my life large with strength.” Psalm 138:1-3 MSG

‬‬The true secret of “living large” isn’t about outside income, it is about inside strength.

The strength that is accessed through worship- the ability to see and recognize what God has given you and what He is doing.

The strength that comes from the truth of God’s love for you impacting and changing your life.

The strength that comes from gratitude.

Gratitude opens your eyes to see possibilities instead of problems.

Where worry constricts your heart, thanks-giving expands it.

The moment you cry out to God in weakness, He meets you with His strength.

Call out to Jesus right now and let Him fill you with thanksgiving, worship and divine strength to be who He has created you to be today.

Do More Than Just Endure Today

There are two things that will keep your thinking clear and your hearts filled with God’s divine love: giving God glory and giving God thanks.

“For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.”

Romans‬ ‭1‬:‭21‬ NIV

You can know God and still get stuck in a mental habit of worry and fear.

Jesus died and rose again so that you can break the power of old mental habits and create new ones with His power.

When you make gratitude and worship your daily bread you are fortifying your spiritual life and strengthening your mental one.

It is the difference between enduring and embracing your life with Jesus in it.

God knows where you are and what your world looks like.

Replace your worry with worship and fear with gratitude.

Gratitude for what you have instead of dwelling on what you are afraid of losing.

What are you grateful for today?

How will you worship Jesus today?

Your why

We justify our actions by appearances; GOD examines our motives.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭21:2‬ ‭MSG‬‬
Your motives are the “why” behind the “what” of your life.
When you are soul drained, the simplest tasks can begin to feel like heavy burdens.  You slip into autopilot and just go through the motions.  Your “why” is to survive, to make it through one more day.
Survival is a good “why” to make it through hard things but it is not meant to be your permanent state of being.
God has more for you today.
He is the God of inside workings, attitude makeovers, perspective shifters. He is the forgiving God, the wipe the slate clean and start over God. He is the miracle-making God, creating something out of nothing God with just one word from His mouth.
Your Heavenly Father created you in love, to love and to be loved. God so loved you that He sent His Son as a sacrifice to restore you to Himself.  He did not do it out of duty, He did it out of love. He does not live out of duty but out of love and wants the same for you.
“And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭4:16‬ ‭NIV
When your why comes from love it feeds your spirit and invigorates your soul. Duty devoid of it drains it.
May the God of the inside workings give your attitude a makeover from duty doer to lit up lover.  May the forgiving God wipe clean the slate of the past and help you start over today.  May the miracle making God, create something out of nothing and fill you so full of His love that it overflows onto those around you.
Are you living in survival mode or love mode?
What’s your why today?

Thanks and Glory
