Hope For Today

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”

Romans 15:13 NIV

As you look to the future today don’t look to the past to determine its possibilities.

Don’t look around to what is going on around you to determine how you feel about it.

Look to the God of hope who surrounds you with His love.

Look to the God of love who has broken the power of sin on the cross.

Look to Jesus who will fill you with all joy and peace as you trust Him.

Regardless of what is going on around you, His love is for you.

Jesus died and rose again so that your hope would not lie in the power of man but in the power of God.

May you live in the fullness of His love today, tomorrow and every day after.

Hope

Hope is mysterious thing.

We spend most of our lives trying to understand it.

You hope for something you can’t see…yet.

You hope for something to happen.

You hope that a person changes the way you want them to.

You hope to change.

You have hope but it has been placed in a circumstance, a human being and even in your own strength.

Our prayers are filled with hope but not hope in God. They are filled with the hopes of what we want God to do for us.

When you hope in Christ, your hope is in the immovable, unchangeable, all powerful Anointed One who by his word created the universe and by his death paid your debt to sin. He has chosen you, redeemed you and in the process of recreating you.

When your hope is placed in God,
it doesn’t matter what other people choose to do.

It doesn’t matter if something happens or doesn’t.

It doesn’t matter that you change perfectly but that you are perfected by grace.

The mystery of hope is that you don’t realize what it really is until all the other things you have put your hope in have failed.

Then you know.

Your hope is in God.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (‭Romans‬ ‭15‬:‭13‬ NIV)
