“Simply let your ‘Yes’ be ‘Yes,’ and your ‘No,’ be ‘No.”’

Matthew 5:37 NKJV

No.

A simple answer but rarely an easy one.

At some point, you will need to say NO to good things so you can say YES to the things God is calling you to.

For those who are challenged by saying “NO”, here are ten different ways to say it:

1. I would prefer another option.

2. I would love to say yes to everything, but that would be stupid.

3. Someone would be awesome at this, I am not that person.

4. Some things have come up that need my attention.

5. We should rethink this.

6. My instincts tell me I’m just not suitable for this.

7. It would cause the slow withering death of my soul.

8. Um, no.

9. My plate is already full but I will be happy to suggest somebody else’s plate to put it on.

10. No, I’m doing all I can right now but thank you for giving me the opportunity.

What do you need to say “NO” to in order to make room for the right “Yes”?

Not Shaken

“I will bless the LORD who guides me; even at night my heart instructs me. I know the LORD is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.”
‭‭Psalm ‭16:7-8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

There may be a lot of reasons that you feel shaken up right now. You may not even be sure how you are going to navigate the day before you.

I want you to know that Jesus will give you everything you need to do His will today.

He will not leave you and will not forsake you. He will walk with you through every moment and provide for you through resources you can not see.

“Since God assured us, ‘I’ll never let you down, never walk off and leave you,’ we can boldly quote, God is there, ready to help; I’m fearless no matter what. Who or what can get to me?”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭13:5-6‬ ‭MSG‬‬

I am praying that today you will have the courage to face the hard facts and do the hard thing, my friend. That you will saturate yourself in the Word of God and walk boldly into an unknown future knowing that Jesus walks beside you every step of the way.

I am praying for a peace that passes all understanding and a hope that will carry you to the other side. I am praying for bold faith and fearless obedience as you look to God to provide what you need.

Take some to time to bless the Lord, worship Him and remind yourself of His faithfulness.

Then lay all your fears at His feet and face the day with courage.

Unsure But Secure

You can be unsure what the future may bring but be secure in the knowledge that God knows the plans he has for you.

You can be unsure about your finances but secure that God is your provider.

You can be unsure of what life will bring your way but secure that although it feels like your flesh and heart may fail, God is the strength of your heart and your portion forever.

You can be unsure of how long your life may be but secure that you will live forever with God.

You can be unsure even in your own faithfulness but rest secure in God’s.

He is your Rock.
He is your Strength.
He is your Guide.
He is your Savior.

You do not walk alone, you are not abandoned.

You are loved and cherished by the King of kings and Lord of lords.

“It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure.”
‭‭Psalm‬ ‭18:32‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Get up and do what you have to do today.

Do it in God’s strength, God’s grace and wrapped in his unquenchable love.

Jesus has not equipped you to do everything but He has equipped you with everything you need to do His will today.
“Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever.
 Amen.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭13:20-21‬ ‭NIV‬‬
What has God equipped you to do today?

The Thing

God has not called you to do everything.

He has called you to be something- redeemed, restored and recreated.

God is not asking you to do everything.

He is asking uou to do THE thing(s) only you can do.

In fact, the more you understand that you need to what only you can do and delegate everything else, you will be set free to be who He has called you to be.

You can’t do everything.

You were never meant to.

“May the God of peace…equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. (‭Hebrews‬ ‭13‬:‭21‬ NIV)

God has not equipped you to do everything but He God has equipped you with everything you need to do His will.

What are the things only you can do?
