Equipped to Change

When God gives you a new vision for your life, he will equipp you to live it.

When he gives you a new revelation of his relationship with you, he will empower you to experience it.

But new visions and new revelations will always come with a fight.

Whether it is the resistance of your flesh or the stubbornness of old mindsets, you will have to fight for what God has shown you and he will arm you for that as well.

“He trains my hands for battle; my arms can bend a bow of bronze.

You make your saving help my shield, and your right hand sustains me; your help has made me great.”

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭18:34-35‬ ‭NIV‬‬

My prayer for you today is that you would know his love as he pours his strength into you.

I pray that you would know his peace as you lean on him.

I pray that you would rest in God’s grace as you walk by his guidance.

I pray that you would trust him with the future and focus simply on the task before you.

I pray that you would be released from the restlessness within you as receive a new determination to go forward in faith.

You are stronger than you know because you know where your strength comes from and whose Right Hand sustains you.

You have been equipped to change.

Pick your weapons and fight for it.

God has not equipped you to do everything but He God has equipped you with everything you need to do His will.

“Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭13:20-21‬ ‭NIV‬‬

What has God equipped you to do today?

Happy Friday!

Each season comes with it’s own challenges, wonders, griefs and gifts.

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:”
‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭3:1‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Just like the seasons of nature, the seasons of life can bring dramatic change.

Change alone can be the biggest challenge in a new season but don’t let it trip you up.

God knows your journey and where you are on it.

We may be surprised, but He is not.

You may feel unprepared, He is not.

In fact, He has already given you what you need to rise to the challenge of it.

“For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2:10‬ ‭AMP‬‬

God has not only prepared you for the path, but He has prepared the path for you.

As you are walking with God, He is working in you. Preparing you to be a blessing,  to be a light, to be a bringer of His love to your family, your friends and anyone else that crosses you path.

Go forward.

Walk in God’s confidence,
rest in God’s grace,
and give God’s love extravently to those who need it (which is pretty much everyone, including yourself).

God’s Will

Don’t over complicate God’s will for you.

He saves.
He forgives.
He restores.
He equips.

He produces in you every good thing you need to please him.

It is his power, his love, his joy and his grace.

Stop agonizing over messing up God’s will for your life and simply focus on not missing God in your life.

Fill you life, mind, heart and soul with God and he will work out the rest.

“May he equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produce in you, through the power of Jesus Christ, every good thing that is pleasing to him. All glory to him forever and ever! Amen.” (‭Hebrews‬ ‭13‬:‭21‬ NLT)

He Said Go.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” (‭Matthew‬ ‭28‬:‭19-20‬ NIV)

He said go.

Get out of your comfort zones.
Get past your walls.
Get over your insecurities.

He said go.

Be His:
Image bearer,
Light bringer,
Grace giver,
Harvest worker,
Messenger of mercy to a lost and hurting soul.

He said go.

No matter where they come from, what language they speak or what they look like. If they are breathing, share the good news of life in Christ with them and then show them how to live it.

He said go.

Because He will be with you.
Because it is not about you.
Because there are people who need the hope, love and power that only God can give.

God has chosen to work with people to reach people.

He has chosen to work through you.

No Empty Hands

And when you release them, do not send them away empty-handed. (Deuteronomy 15:13 NIV)

In the Old Testament when God laid out to the Israelites how their community would work, He put in a clause to assure that those who found themselves in desperate financial situations would have a way out. They would not have to stay slaves forever. If they had sold themselves into slavery it could only last 7 years. Then the owner must release the slave and send them away with the means to begin a new life.

It is called The Lord’s Release and he instructs them to not send out their former servants empty handed.

Jesus is the fulfillment of The Lord’s Release. We are not doomed to be slaves to sin forever but have a way out in Christ.

My friend, when you are released to begin to live a free life in Christ, you do not begin your new life with empty hands.

God will use what the enemy meant for harm to bring you good and fill your hands with blessings.

God will give you what you need, when you need it.

He may not show you the end of the new road you are on but he will give you the strength to take the first step on it.

You are not empty handed as a child of God. You are provided for, equipped and empowered to walk in freedom.

Friday’s Prayer

“I ask the God of our Master, Jesus Christ, the God of glory—to make you intelligent and discerning in knowing him personally,
your eyes focused and clear, so that you can see exactly what it is he is calling you to do, grasp the immensity of this glorious way of life he has for his followers, oh, the utter extravagance of his work in us who trust him—endless energy, boundless strength!” (Ephesians 1:15-19 MSG)

May you know God today. Discern him in the quiet moments, recognize him in the crazy ones.

May your eyes be clear and focused.

May you embrace the peace and power available to you through Jesus Christ.

As you trust him, may you be filled with endless energy and boundless strength for what ever today brings to you.

Thank God It’s Friday.
