Are You Stressed?

Are you stressed?

Of course you are, so am I.

There is a lot to be stressed about.

That is why we need to take a break from over thinking.

That is why we need to take a break from fear.

Take a holiday from doubt.

Take a permanent vacation from unbelief.

Forget it all and make space to remember who you are in God and who God is in you.

You are God’s child redeemed by the blood of Jesus, embraced within the Father’s heart and filled with the Spirit of love, power and a sound mind for all that you will face.

Hebrews 4:11 says, “So then we must be eager to experience this faith-rest life, so that no one falls short by following the same pattern of doubt and unbelief.”  (TPT)

Break away from stress today and take as much time as you need to rest in the truth that you are loved.

Limitless

Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.-EPHESIANS 3:20 THE PASSION TRANSLATION

To doubt is to be human.

We don’t trust each other and we don’t trust God.

We have been hurt and we have been let down.

We are not sure of so many things in life and doubt gives us a chance to step back and look again before making a decision.

But one thing you never have to doubt is the power of God’s love.

You don’t have to think twice that God can do the impossible in you.

That He can accomplish in you what you can not accomplish in yourself.

When you turn yourself over into His open hands, into His powerful love – He gets to work.

His love transforms, energizes, heals and forgives.

His love recreates, redeems and restores.

His love inspires, empowers and enables you to become who He created you to be.

And in the process you get to see Him do in you and through you more than you could ask or imagine.

Your Words

“Some people make cutting remarks, but the words of the wise bring healing.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭12:18‬ ‭NLT‬‬
All words hold power.
They set the tone, communicate vision, encourage and lift up or they destroy trust, discourage and convolute the situation.  It is usually the words we plan that help people and the ones we don’t plan that hurt them.  Before you speak, ask yourself if your words are going to help the situation or hurt it?
It’s okay to say you don’t know.
It’s okay to say nothing at all.
It’s okay to choose to be proactive instead of reactive.
When in doubt, don’t say anything at all.
Spend your time planning the words you want to say and applying self-control to the ones you don’t.
May your words bring healing to those who desperately need it today and empower those around you to be courageous in pursuing the potential God has put in them.

Cast it

In order to cast ALL your anxiety on Him, you have to move your focus from your anxiety to your Savior.

You focus on what your worried about, what you can’t control, what you are not strong enough to carry. You focus on the problem and how heavy it weighs upon your shoulders. You focus on your own hands when God is asking you to focus on His heart.

He cares for you.

He cares for more than you even realize.

When you are in the middle of a fierce storm feeling out of control and tossed around, you ask Jesus, like the disciples did in Mark 4:38, “Do you even care that I’m in this storm? I didn’t see it coming, I didn’t cause it to happen and I’m not sure if I’m going to make it through.”

The answer is yes, He cares.

When you are burnt out and overwhelmed with life, you go to Jesus like Martha did in Luke 10:40, and ask, “Don’t you care that I’m doing all the work and no one is helping me?”

The answer is yes, He cares.

In fact, the Hebrew word used for “care” in both the above passages is the SAME word used in 1 Peter 5:7 (NIV) –

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭5:7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Does God care?

Yes, He absolutley does.

Sinking

“Make a careful exploration of who you are and the work you have been given, and then sink yourself into that. (‭Galatians‬ ‭6‬:‭4-5‬ MSG)

You are an original.

The life you live is distinct and different from any other life that has ever been lived. Others may have things in common with you, there are others whose lives might be similar, but none that have your exact experience, have made your exact choices or have reacted to situations the way you have.

Life does not go as planned. Marriage, kids, career, money rarely follows our expectation of them. Some things turn out better that you imagined. Some things do not. And yet, through it all – it is life.

This is your life.
Take responsibility for it.
No one can live your life for you.

Instead of sinking into discouragement and doubt – sink into something else:

Sink into discovering who God has made you to be.

Sink into the work He has given you to do.

Sink into creating something only you can create.

Sink into it with thanksgiving.

Sink into it with joy.

Sink into the truth that God knows who you are, where you are and why you are there.

You are there to be a gift from Him.

What To Do With Doubt

20140708-200749-72469260.jpg

But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. (James 1:6 NIV)

Act on the wisdom God has given you.

Believe that He has equipped you to do it.

Commit to NOT worry and fret over it.

Jesus slept through the storm because he was at peace on the inside. The peace of God doesn’t depend on outward circumstances but on an inward relationship. Choose to trust God. He will get you safely to the other shore.

Doubt your doubts, not your God.
