On the Border

“That night all the members of the community raised their voices and wept aloud.” ‭‭Numbers‬ ‭14:1‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Why did the people of Israel weep?

Because 10 of the 12 spies that Moses sent into the promised land came back saying it was impossible. And the people believed them instead of believing God.

They mourned as if they were already defeated when in truth, they had not even begun.

This nation of former slaves looked at the promised land in fear because it was going to be difficult.

They wanted the promise but only if God was going to make it easy for them.

Stepping into your promised land isn’t going to be easy.

You are going to have to fight for it, face the giants and trust God to take you to a new level of trust in Him.

God has brought you this far and He will take you all the way in.

Getting there is going to be one step of faith after another.

It will always be a walk of faith.

You can trust God to give you what you will need when you will need it to do what He has called you to do.

Wipe your tears, lace up your shoes and go for all God has for you.

I will join you.

The Road to Success

The road to success is dotted with many parking places.

Parking places are meant to be a temporary place to stop, not a final destination – you do what you need to do and then get back on the road.

Friend, you are on a life journey with Jesus. Don’t get stuck at a rest stop. Don’t start living at the gas station. Don’t let a parking place become a permanent place.

Get moving.

Remember the reason you were called to this journey in the first place – Jesus has a plan for you.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Don’t get distracted.

Don’t settle.

Jesus has new places for you see, new people to meet and new opportunities to glorify God.

Rest stops are important but aren’t meant to be permanent.

Get back on your road.

What has gotten you off track on your journey with Jesus? What do you need to do today to get back on the road for the calling God has placed on your life?

Get Moving.

Someone out there needs you.

Press On

God has a hold of you for a reason you haven’t even begun to know yet.

Don’t stop going after all God has for you just because you are not where you want to be.

Sometimes the journey seems long when you see how far you still have to go, sometimes the journey seems short when you look at all Jesus has already done in you.

Even Paul the apostle felt this way, so don’t be so hard on yourself when you do.

“Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and straining towards what is ahead, I press on towards the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenwards in Christ Jesus.”

‭‭Philippians‬ ‭3:12-14‬ ‭NIV

Keep going. Keep pursuing. Press on.

What God has for you has nothing to do with who you think you are or who you think you are not but it has everything to do with who HE is.

Go after Jesus and let Him do the work He wants to do in you. He is working the past out of you so that you can embrace the future He has for you.

Don’t give up.

Hold onto God even as He is holding onto you.

Press on.

What has God already done in you?

Has He given you a glimpse of the work He still wants to do? What does that look like?

How does knowing that God is holding onto to you give you strength to keep holding onto Him?

What has gotten you off track on your journey with Jesus?

What do you need to do today to get back on the road for the calling God has placed on your life?

Get Moving.

Someone out there needs you.

Ask, Seek, Knock

Are you asking for?

Life can get moving so fast and furious that your prayers can become different versions of “help”.

But Jesus says you can ask for more.

“Show me how to love better”

“Help me to enjoy the blessings I have”.

“Give me a vision of what you want today can be and give me the
strength to fulfill it”.

“Remind me to be kind today”

“Open my eyes to those who are hurting and give me the words to lift them up”.

What are you seeking?

You find what you seek, so don’t let others choose for you or allow the circumstances to choose for you.

You choose what you seek.

Seek joy.
Seek vision.
Seek clarity.
Seek blessing.
Seek opportunities to bless.
Seek wisdom and discernment.
Seek God’s perspective.
Seek God.

What doors are you knocking on?

Doors of doubt?
Doors of fear?

Or

Doors of faith?

Look before you knock.

“What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked him. The blind man said, “Rabbi, I want to see.”(‭Mark‬ ‭10‬:‭51 NIV)

Ask, seek and knock on purpose and it will open up the life of purpose you have been looking for.
