Quiet Words

If you are looking for advice, ask the quiet person you respect and admire.

Ask the one who knows you and knows Jesus.

Ask the one who doesn’t offer their opinion at every opportunity but rather waits for permission to speak into your life.

Be brave. Ask the questions you need answers to. If they are wise, they are safe. Seek them out.

If they are loud, manipulative, believe they are always right and get mad when you don’t do what they say…avoid them.

“The quiet words of the wise are more to be heeded than the shouts of a ruler of fools.”
‭‭Ecclesiastes ‬ ‭9:17 NIV‬

What do you need wisdom for today?

Who has God put in your path to help you?

Don’t let fear stop you from getting guidance.

It can literally help change your life for the better.

You are worth it.

Prepared

Each season comes with it’s own challenges, wonders, griefs and gifts.

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:”
‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭3:1‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Just like the seasons of nature, the seasons of life can bring dramatic change.

Change alone can be the biggest challenge in a new season but don’t let it trip you up.

God knows your journey and where you are on it.

We may be surprised, but He is not.

You may feel unprepared, He is not.

In fact, He has already given you what you need to rise to the challenge of it.

“For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭2:10‬ ‭AMP‬‬

God has not only prepared you for the path, but He has prepared the path for you.

As you are walking with God, He is working in you. Preparing you to be a blessing,  to be a light, to be a bringer of His love to your family, your friends and anyone else that crosses you path.

Go forward.

Walk in God’s confidence,
rest in God’s grace,
and give God’s love extravently to those who need it (which is pretty much everyone, including yourself).

Humbly

Pride will make you blind to see where God wants to lead you.

He guides the humble in what is right and teaches them his way. (‭Psalm‬ ‭25‬:‭9‬ NIV)

If you are asking for direction, for clarity and for God to be your guide- begin by cutting off your pride at the knees. Pride loves to rise up with shoulds, coulds and vows to protect yourself.

When pride fills your vision,it is hard to see God’s vison for your life.

Begin humbly.

Don’t ask God to guide you in the way you want to go but in the way He does.

God is more than a just a guide, He is a teacher. He wants to teach you His way of living. His way of loving. His way of being.

He will show you the path to take but truthfully, how you walk is as important (maybe more) than where you walk.

Need direction?

Begin humbly and trust Jesus to show how to live as you follow His direction on where to go.
