Say No

Real freedom isn’t saying yes to everything. It means being able to say no when you need to.

No to the things that sabitoge your peace.

No to the things that undercutt your strength.

No to the thoughts that lead you to that dark place.

“For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope—the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ,”
Titus 2:11-13 NIV

It also means saying no to people .

Saying “no” can be hard to say when you have used “yes” for so long to please the people around you.

But you are not here to please the people around you. You have been set free to please God.

“Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭1:10‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Saying yes to God sometimes means saying no to others.

Say no today out of a place of strength, vision and confidence knowing who you are in Christ.

What or who do you need to say no to today in order to be who God has set you free to be?

Steady Your Step

Stay on the path God has put you on.

Stay focused on the main goal of this season.

Do what God has given you to do where you are.

Don’t worry about others are doing.

Don’t wonder about where others are going.

Focus on what is important today.

Focus on why you are doing it.

Trust God to finish what He has started in you (because He will).

Ask God to steady your step and walk forward with confident faith.

Turn my way, look kindly on me, as you always do to those who personally love you.

Steady my steps with your Word of promise so nothing malign gets the better of me. ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭119:129-136‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Have a wonderful weekend.

Confidence

You don’t need a reason to help people, but you have one.

God knows where you are.
He knows who you influence.
You are there for a reason.

God transforms lives.

He invites us to be a part of it. First by being transformed by him and then by being obedient to be used in other people’s transformation.

By a word, a prayer, a challenge or a hug. You are a key part of God’s plan where you are.

You don’t have to worry how it will happen, you must simply be ready and confidently obey.

“Such confidence we have through Christ before God. Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God.” (2 Corinthians 3:4-5 NIV)
