Take the Day Off

The observance of taking a day off of work was established from the beginning.

And God was the first one to rest.

He created the world and all that was in it.

The air we breath, the bodies we inhabit, the wonder of the natural world.

Then He took a day.

He rested and celebrated.

He appreciated and enjoyed.

He called it Sabbath and told humans to do it once a week with Him.

Take a day, once a week to rest, celebrate, appreciate and enjoy this beautiful life with God.

You will be surprised at how much you need it.

You need it.

It is an offer that still stands and because of Jesus it is available to all who need a spiritual rest as well as a physical one.

Hebrews 4:9 says that “There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God’s rest also rests from their works, just as God did from his.” (NIV)

Take a day, maybe this day, and let it revive your soul.

Take A Deep Breath

Take a deep breath.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3:5-6‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Whatever today brings, I want to remind you to trust God in it.

Trust that He has your present provided for. Jesus will give you what you need when you need it to deal with what is happening right now.

Trust that He will heal your past. There is no sin stronger than the blood of Jesus and there is no hurt His love can’t heal.

Trust that He has your future in the palm of His hand. Jesus is preparing a place for you and preparing you for the place.

Stressing about it helps no one.

Rest in Him and wait.

Take a deep breath and fix your eyes on Jesus.

He’s got you.

Take a Deep Breath

Today may you experience Jesus and know Him as your

loving Savior,

close friend,

trusted counselor,

reliable guide,

powerful redeemer,

hope giver,

grace maker, and sovereign Lord.

” in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”

Colossians 2:2b-3 NIV
