Christmas Morning

“But the angel reassured them, saying, “Don’t be afraid. For I have come to bring you good news, the most joyous news the world has ever heard! And it is for everyone everywhere!  For today in Bethlehem a rescuer was born for you. He is the Lord Yahweh, the Messiah.  – Luke 2:10-11 TPT

I imagine that the morning after Jesus’ birth was quiet for Mary and Joseph.

I’m sure they were tired.

They probably didn’t sleep well.

How long did it take for the shepherds to find them?

Did they come before or after dawn?

What did Mary and Joseph think as the shepherds told them of the angels who couldn’t keep the news to themselves? What did they think of heaven’s declaration that a rescuer was born and he was the Lord Yahweh, Messiah?

I don’t know what your Christmas Morning has looked like today but I pray that hope steals it’s way into your heart like the light broken through the darkness when the multitude of angels burst into celebration the night Jesus was born.

Jesus came to bring you hope.

To love you, to know you, to save you, to heal you.

Today ask for His help when you need it.

Jesus will never run out of grace and mercy – He is the eternal supply.

Have an amazing and very Merry Christmas!

I Want to Remind You

014

I just want to remind you that you are loved.

You are loved today wherever you are: at home, in a hospital, doing online school, on a Zoom meeting, doing the dishes or distracting yourself on YouTube.

You are loved whether you are doing good or not so good. Whether you feel you have a handle on all the anxiety or you feel like the anxiety has a hold on you.

Jesus loved you at the worst you have ever been, He loves you where you are today and will love you where you are tomorrow.

This is the relentless love of God and I am praying that it will give you the courage to do whatever you must do today.

May the God of uncontainable love drench you in His presence.  May His awe-inspiring grace recharge your hope and fill your faith with the courage to trust Him. May you never forget that He has you in the palm of His hand.

Rapturous Joy

saviorisborn2

It’s Christmas Eve.

No matter what your day looks like or feels like today or tomorrow, I pray for you to have a moment of rapturous joy as a redeemed child of God.

The great orator of a century past says it so beautifully:

We esteem every day alike, but still, as the season suggests thoughts of Jesus, let us joyfully remember our dear Redeemer’s glorious birth.

Who but He was ever longed for by such a multitude of hearts?

When did angels indulge in midnight songs, or did God hang a new star in the sky?

To whose, cradle did rich and poor make so willing a pilgrimage, and offer such hearty and unsought oblations?

Well, may earth rejoice; well may all men cease their labor to celebrate “the great birthday” of Jesus.

Let gladness rule the hour; let the holy song and sweet heart music accompany our soul in the raptures of joy.

– Charles Spurgeon

Love, hugs and many blessings from the Grasso’s this Christmas!

Daily Routine

dc1b49f726fb24cf86061f6088d05727

Make worshiping Jesus a part of your daily routine.

Wash your face.

Brush your teeth.

Worship Jesus.

Since we are receiving a Kingdom that is unshakable, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe.

Hebrews 12:28 NLT

When you worship, you open your heart to be filled with His unshakable kingdom. A kingdom not of this world that changes the world.
When you worship and see Jesus for who He is, you see the world around you through His eyes.
And you love more, hope more, give more.
Worship fills you with the wonder of heaven and an awe for the one who left it to rescue a lost world.
And when you are full of heaven, it overflows to the earth.
May you be so full of heaven today that it overflows in moments of awe on the mundane moments of your day and make them…heavenly.
You were made for this.
