Some mornings, hope feels hard to find.
Maybe you have prayed, waited, and tried to stay positive with no answer before you.
In Romans 15:13 Paul prays, “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (NIV)
Notice where that hope comes from: God.
The God of hope.
Hope comes from God, not our circumstances.
God’s presence fills you with all joy and peace as you trust Him with the outcome.
As you trust Him with the problem, the person, the potential future.
Bring Him your tired heart without dressing it up, “Lord, I want to trust You. Help me here.”
You can ask the God of hope to meet you when your hope feels small.
Today, let His faithfulness be your starting place.
Take a breath.
Tell Him what feels heavy.
Ask Him for the peace you need for this moment and the hope to take your next step.
Father, You are the God of hope. You know the places where I feel weary and uncertain. Fill me with joy and peace as I trust You. By Your Spirit, renew the hope I cannot manufacture on my own. In Jesus Powerful Name, Amen.
