We often place our hope in what we believe might happen next.
When the situation changes, I will have peace.
When the prayer is answered, I will have hope.
When life becomes easier, I will feel secure.
But Biblical hope is not rooted in a perfect outcome.
It is rooted in the daily presence of Jesus.
Paul describes an extraordinary mystery: Christ lives in you.
His presence is your hope.
His Spirit is at work within you.
His power is changing you.
His promises are carrying you toward a future that is secure in Him.
Your hope is not simply that life will get better.
Your hope is that Jesus is with you, Jesus is in you,
and that Jesus is not finished with you.
Your hope is not found in what happens next,
but in the One who lives within you.
Jesus, thank You for living in me and being my hope. When my circumstances feel uncertain, help me anchor my heart in Your love, Your presence and Your promises. In Your Powerful Name, Amen.
