There are some mornings when we wake up already carrying the weight of the day.
Before our feet hit the floor, our minds are racing.
In Psalms 139:18, David reminds us of a beautiful truth:
when we wake up, God is still with us.
In terms of God’s thoughts toward you, David wrote, “Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand—when I awake, I am still with you.” (NIV)
God’s love doesn’t clock out overnight.
God’s presence doesn’t disappear while we sleep.
The God who watched over you yesterday is
already waiting for you today.
His thoughts toward you are more numerous than the grains of sand.
His faithfulness greets you every morning with what you will need for the day.
There may be things in your life that you don’t understand.
Things that have caught you off guard.
Things you never wanted to happen.
God knows.
He is with you.
Trust Him with it.
Because no matter what today holds, you do not face it alone.
He has already thought of how to help you through it.
