Sometimes life can feel uncertain and unpredictable.
We wonder what’s ahead and carry regrets about what’s behind.
King David wrote in Psalms 139:5 , “You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me.” (NIV)
Nothing in your life is outside God’s care.
He says God hems us in “behind and before.”
In other words, God is already present in your past and your future.
He stands behind you with grace for what has been.
He goes before you with provision for what is ahead.
And even now, His hand rests upon you.
God’s hand is not heavy with condemnation.
When you feel anxious about tomorrow or burdened by yesterday,
remember that you are surrounded by the presence of God.
