God has not called you to be successful.
He has called you to be faithful.
He is calling you to keep your word and to follow through.
He is calling you to be a living vessel of His Word—in big ways and in small, ordinary, everyday ways right where you live.
Here’s something I’ve learned: the hardest part of being faithful usually isn’t the beginning. It’s the middle.
It’s the long stretch of ordinary days, simple routine, unseen obedience and doing the right thing when no one is clapping.
It’s in the mundane, day-to-day moments of life that our trust in God is truly tested.
Jesus said it this way in Luke 16:10, “If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities.” (NLT)
When life feels big and loud and hectic, it’s easy to let the small things slide. We tell ourselves they don’t really matter. But the truth is, it’s the small, quiet acts of obedience—done consistently—that shape the whole direction of our lives.
Little things may feel insignificant in the short run, but they are monumental in the long run.
And here’s the beautiful part: when God entrusts you with something to be faithful with, He also supplies the strength you need to carry it. You were never meant to do this on your own.
So maybe it’s time to stop striving to be “successful” and start focusing on simply being faithful with the small, precious things God has placed in your care. Because faithfulness is what He’s looking for. And faithfulness is what He always blesses.
