Some days require more strength than we feel we have.
More endurance, patience and more grace for others and for ourselves.
Paul’s prayer in Colossians is a reminder that we don’t have to generate that strength on our own. We are not called to live this life in our own power.
Colossians 1:11 says, “We also pray that you will be strengthened with all his glorious power so you will have all the endurance and patience you need.” (NLT)
The strength you need today?
God has it.
And He is willing to give it—generously, faithfully, and right on time.
But it doesn’t stop at just surviving our days.
God’s desire is that we would live with joy not because everything is perfect, but because we are anchored in the One who is.
Colossians 1:11–12 continues, “May you be filled with joy, always thanking the Father.” (NLT)
Even now, there is joy to be found.
Gratitude to be given.
Because you’ve already been given more than you know.
Colossians 1:13-14 proclaims the truth: “For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” (NLT)
Let the light of God’s love warm your soul today as you rest in the reality that although things seem dark and impossible right now, you are rescued, surrounded, loved, and redeemed.
That doesn’t mean everything is easy, it means it’s possible because the power of God’s love is within you.
Permission to live loved today and give God all the rest.
