Right In Front of You

Mark 10:22 records a powerful moment in an interaction between Jesus and a rich young ruler. In the middle of the conversation, Scripture tells us something quiet but profound: “Jesus looked at him and loved him.” (NIV)

Jesus fully saw the man standing right in front of Him—and He loved him.

Before the man obeyed.
Before he walked away.
Before the outcome of the conversation was known.

Jesus loved him exactly where he was,
not for what he would do next,
but for who he was in that moment.
This is how God loves.

He doesn’t wait to see how the story turns out before offering love.
He doesn’t withhold affection until obedience is proven.
He loves first—fully, intentionally, and without reservation.

And this is how God has made you to love.

My friend, you are not where you are by accident.
You are seen and deeply loved by the God who created you and wrapped you in His amazing embrace.

And there are people in your life that only you can love today.
Only you can notice them.
Only you can touch their lives in the way God intended.

The circle of your influence begins right at your fingertips—
with those within your reach today.

So pause for a moment and ask yourself:
Who has God placed right in front of you?

And how will you choose to love them?
