Christmas is about God’s pursuit of a relationship with all of mankind.
It is not the origin story of a religion, it is the reality of God’s love made manifest in Christ.
Jesus said to all who would listen in Matthew 4:17, “repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is near.” (NLT)
His birth, every breath, every step, every person Jesus talked to, touched, healed and gave hope to was about relationship.
Restoring it.
Reconciling it.
Renewing relationship with God.
It is the same today.
Jesus has made Himself available to you every moment of every day not so He can control you but so He can love you.
So He can have a thriving relationship with you.
Jesus is a gift to be opened and experienced everyday.
Romans 5:15 records this truth: “For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God’s grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many!” (NIV)
