Pride is the thing that keeps you from asking for help because you don’t want others to know you have a problem, even if you do.
Pride is the thing that prevents you from reconciling because you are right and being right is more important than the relationship.
Pride keeps you safe.
Except it doesn’t.
It keeps you isolated and disconnected.
Proverbs 29:23 says, “Pride ends in humiliation, while humility brings honor.” (NLT)
Pride will always be the longest distance between two people.
1 Corinthians 13:4 reminds of the power of God and the power of His love. It says, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.” (NIV)
Love reaches out and crosses the distance.
Love allows room to be make mistakes and be wrong.
Don’t let pride be the reason an important relationship disintegrates.
My friend, don’t let pride stop you from asking for help and saying you are sorry today.
