Gratitude

There is something powerful that happens in your life when you make daily gratitude your go to.

Instead of focusing on what is going wrong, ask Jesus to open your eyes to all that He is doing in you and in the world around you.

In 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 the Apostle Paul wrote, “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (ESV)

This daily practice puts prayer and communion with Jesus the very center of your life.

I don’t know about you but I need God’s supernatural power to draw my eyes away from all the things that I can criticize, judge or overanalyze.

Instead, I pray and ask Him to open my eyes to all the things I have to be thankful for.
When I do this, unbounded joy fills my soul.

My friend, there is a difference between enduring your life and enjoying it.

This practice of thanks-giving creates space in your life for deep joy, sincere gratefulness and awe-inspiring wonder.

My prayer is that gratitude and thanksgiving fill your thoughts and overflow into your soul through the incredible power of the Holy Spirit within you today.
