The Map

Things happen in our lives that drastically change its landscape.

One minute everything is hunky-dory and then something erupts.

A storm hits.

Relationships fall apart.

Jobs change.

Loved ones pass away.

Isaiah 41:13 says, “For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.” (NIV)

Maybe the change in your life was building for a while and finally exploded.
Maybe someone else made a bad choice and the debris from it has devastated your life.

Maybe now you feel lost, don’t know how to go forward and nothing matches the map you had for your life.

Maybe that is why Jesus doesn’t say “here is a map,” He says, “I am the map.”

Jesus said in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.” (NLT)

When you are in a relationship with the living map, the way maker, truth bearer, life bringer, you can lay down the self-made map of how you “normally try to make it through” and ask God to take your hand and walk you through the new landscape of your life.

One step at a time.
