The Peace of Jesus

Shalom is a multifaceted Hebrew word that means peace.

Colossians 3:14-15 says, “’Above all these, clothe yourselves with love, which binds everything together perfectly; and let the shalom which comes from the Messiah be your heart’s decision-maker, for this is why you were called to be part of a single Body. And be thankful —” (CJB)

Jesus is the Anointed One, the chosen One from the beginning of time to be the One to reconcile us to God.

He took our sins upon Himself, paid their gruesome price and defeated sin’s power.

Jesus conquered sin and death then offered eternal life to all who would receive Him.

He gives us His shalom without reserve.

The peace of the Anointed One is an unconquerable, stubborn peace.

His peace is rooted in identity security, not circumstantial stability.

His peace is being embraced by the presence of God in the midst of struggle.

His peace is being put back together in love after being shattered by rejection.

His peace is forged in sacrifice, love laying down its life for others.

His peace is choosing the harder path because that is where the Father leads.

His peace faced the worst of mankind’s darkness and overcame it.

Shalom is the peace of the One who conquered the unconquerable and rose blazing in light and life.

Shalom is the peace that comes from the heart of God to you, made possible through the death and resurrection of Jesus and will fill you to overflowing by the Spirit who is Love living in you.

His abundant shalom is yours.

May it rule and reign in your heart today through every circumstance that tests it.
