Your dwelling place is where you live.
It is your home base, your launching pad, your safe place.
It is where you wake up in the morning, brush your teeth and get ready for the day.
It is the place where all your “stuff” is, no matter how much stuff you have or don’t have.
It is where you go at the end of the day to lie down and rest.
It is where you recharge.
Psalms 91:1 says that, “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” (NIV)
Friend, you are created to dwell in God’s presence. You are made to wake up immersed in the love of Jesus and go about the business of your day empowered by His presence.
The Apostle Paul wrote in Colossians 1:19-20, “For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him, and through him to reconcile to himself all things, whether things on earth or things in heaven, by making peace through his blood, shed on the cross.” (ESV)
Jesus is your home base.
He is the person that you can return to again and again and again to refill your empty tank.
In Him, you can lay down each night knowing that God will give you what you need tomorrow.
This is the reality bought for you at the cross.
He is for you.
This is not a religion but a life-giving eternal relationship.
Run home to Jesus.
He is your dwelling place.
Every day.
