Jesus is the God who listens. He is there when all you really need is someone to hear you out, listen to you, sit with you and encourage you. He is there to give you wisdom and guidance. He is longing to remind you that you are cherished and loved.
Before Jesus called Lazarus out of the grave, He thanked God for hearing Him, for listening to Him. John 11:42 records, “And Jesus lifted up his eyes and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. I knew that you always hear me, but I said this on account of the people standing around, that they may believe that you sent me.” (ESV)
Because of Jesus, you have access to a Father who hears you, who knows you, who listens to you. Stop looking to others to give you what you can only get from God. Psalm 10:17 says, “You, Lord, hear the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry.” (NIV)
God hears you.
God listens.
God is listening.
