Jesus said that you don’t need to pretend to be more “spiritual” or “religious” to be heard by God your Father.
When you pray, you don’t have to pretend.
Jesus said in Matthew 6:5-6,“Here’s what I want you to do: Find a quiet, secluded place so you won’t be tempted to role-play before God. Just be there as simply and honestly as you can manage. The focus will shift from you to God, and you will begin to sense his grace.”(MSG)
You don’t have to begin with what you “should” say before you get to what you need to say.
You don’t have to have the right words and sometimes you don’t need words at all.
Jesus said that you don’t have to perform for God to hear you – He hears you.
Prayer is a conversation.
Take time to talk and take time to listen.
Be real with God and He will be real with you.
He loves you so much.
He sees your need.
He knows what’s in your heart.
The most important thing about prayer is that you do it and prayer is the most important thing that can do today.
