Someone needs you to be kind today.
Probably someone close to you.
Maybe someone who is a stranger to you.
Maybe that person is you.
Ephesians 4:32 says, “Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” (ESV)
Forgiveness is always a part of being kind.
Christ forgave you and now you have nothing to prove.
You can forgive others for their missteps, mistakes and miscommunications.
Jesus forgave you for all these things and doesn’t penalize your relationship with Him when you do them. The relationship is open because of it.
In fact, the kindest thing the Holy Spirit does in your life is reveal to you your own missteps, mistakes and miscommunications that hinder your relationship with Him and others. And He comes from a place of having already forgiven you for them.
Be brave.
Be real.
Be available.
Kindness is one of the most powerful things you can give to someone today.
The other thing is compassion.
Freely receive from Jesus, freely give to others.
