Tomorrow is the beginning of a new year.
It is the day marking the ending of a season and the beginning of a new one.
When God set up this world, He created new things that created new things.
He created plants, animals and human beings that create new things.
Just look around at the bare branches of the trees or the winter vines of the vineyards that are bare, pruned and resting now.
Soon new life will begin to grow.
Grapes that never existed before will be brought into the world.
Lamentations 3:22-24 reminds us, “Because of the Lord ’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are NEW every morning; great is your faithfulness.” (NIV)
God is not done with you.
God has some new things He wants to do in you and through you.
God is faithful.
Because of His great love, you will not be consumed.
His compassion is new every morning.
He is your portion and your strength.
The most important thing you need to do this next year is wait on Jesus.
Drink in His mercies, His compassion, His faithfulness as you drink your coffee or tea in the morning.
