My friend, I want to remind you today that God fulfills His Word.
God promised that a child would be born that He would be the Savior of the world and the gospel of Luke 1:28 – 32 records the supernatural encounter that Mary had with an angel. It says that, “Gabriel appeared to her and said, ‘Greetings, The Lord is with you!’ Confused and disturbed, Mary tried to think what the angel could mean. ‘Don’t be afraid, Mary,’ the angel told her, ‘for you have found favor with God! You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you will name him Jesus. He will be very great and will be called the Son of the Most High.’” (NLT)
I am sure many had given up hope on God coming through.
I am sure many moved on.
Maybe they felt like God had forgotten about them.
But God’s promises are fulfilled by God’s power.
The very same power that brought order to the chaos and light to the darkness promised that Immanuel, “God with us”, would be born.
And He was.
God fulfills His word.
Jesus was born and laid in a feeding trough, did miracles and died on a Roman cross, defeated death and ascended to heaven.
He is Jesus.
He is the Messiah.
He is your Savior.
God’s promises are fulfilled by God’s power.
My friend, hold onto hope.
Wait in faith on God’s timing.
He will fulfill His word.
