Do you have too much to do? Me too.
Martin Luther said, “I have so much to do that I shall spend the first three hours in prayer.” He knew that the more he had to do, the more time he needed time with God.
When Jesus was at Martha and Mary’s house in Luke 10: 41, He told Martha, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one.” (NIV)
What is that “one thing”?
It is sitting at the feet of Jesus.
It is spending time in prayer but not the “here-is-the-list-of-everything-I-need-from-You-prayer” but the “remind-me-who-You-are” prayer. The prayer I am talking about today is taking time to sit with Him and be reminded of who He is. He is the Creator who holds all things together, who loves endlessly and who empowers you to do what He has called you to.
If you are worried and stressed right now, the most powerful thing you can do is stop and sit at the feet of Jesus.
Spend some time worshiping Him.
You probably don’t have three hours but I bet you have 10 minutes.
Take 10 minutes (or more) and sit in the reality of His love and the awe inspiring wonder of His glory.
Then tackle your T0-Do List.

Thank you Cindy- No “to do list” is accomplished without the hand of Jesus. Start with him and all will go well.
